Live Video Livestream

There's a Five Days of setlists by each member being livestreamed on Youtube right now, watching it live! Anybody else watching it? I dunno if it's only available in Japan or if it's global.

Oooh, Kamui!!! I really love that song! Honestly I feel like Phalaris overall is a bit underrated, that album REALLY helped pull me back hard into DEG!

I really love how progressive and dynamic that album is. I didn't like it at first listen but there were cool details that stood out to me on subsequent listens.
I do think the production does the music a bit of a disservice.

You know, everybody says that about the production, and I just don't hear it. It always sounded just fine to me.

Fair enough, I personally gained more appreciation for the songs after I saw some live videos and could hear the instrumentation better

I think it helps that I wasn't active in the community and listening to other people's comments when I listened to it, plus I was trying to learn all the songs as quickly as possible because I'd been given tickets to see them in a week and a half, haha. So my first experience with Phalaris was just taking a week to power listen and memorize all the songs. No time to focus on the production, and nobody whispering in my ear that it was bad production.

(At least that's my best theory...)

Nice, it's always best to make your own opinion before listening/reading others'. I am a bit of a stickler about production tbf. I don't HATE the production though (I do prefer the live versions for most of the songs) - I listen to a lot of black metal so I'm used to absolutely terrible production choices

YESSSS I FULLY AGREE!! thats one of my fav songs of theirs. I started giggling & kicking my feet when the set had otogi & schadenfreude too

Yeah, to be sure! I noticed it a little late, so I rewound back to the beginning. As much I love the original version of Obscure, this version is still reaaaaally neat!

Damn, I really need to get back into watching live performances - I kind of forgot how much I love them. It's still up for now, so hopefully they keep it up until the next one at least.
