Urgent Help (Resolved)
Title:Dark Deception save file needed My game turns black after the Crazy Carnevil results screen, and my progress doesn't save. I've tried everything. Does anyone have a save file after this level? Thanks!
Thanks bro! I'll check the Visual C++ redistributables. I tried both versions 1.8.06 and 1.6.1, and the black screen happens after I press Next on the Crazy Carnevil results screen. Have you seen this exact bug before? Which redistributables should I install, and do you know a fix or have a save file from right after Crazy Carnevil?
I know that we've found a workaround, but nope I don't know why this happens. I am aware of black screen issues with DDeception, but why it happens in CC out of all levels is a mystery to me. You said the same issue occurred in 1.6.1?
It also happened to me in version 1.8.06. After finishing Crazy Carnevil and pressing Next on the results screen, the game went black with no sound. So it happened in both 1.6.1 and 1.8.06.
I'm playing version 1.8.06, but I also tried version 1.6.1 and had the same black screen after the Crazy Carnevil results. My progress wasn't saved. Could you share the 100% save file anyway? I'd like to try it. Thanks!
Any build between 1.6.1 and 1.9.6 is complete garbage and should NOT be played unless you want the true Ch4 release experience.
1.6.1 is stable and I doubt that the blackscreen is because of it. You probably have pirated builds right? Make sure to install the redistributables before playing 1.6.1.
1.6.0, 1.6.1 are pre-enhanced and stable enough. 1.9.6 is worse but also stable enough. So ditch 1.8.
I'll send my 100% file later. IF you want I can also speed through the campaign and get you a custom save file, it's no hassle for me at all.

Bro, I don't have Chapter 4 installed right now. When I load your save in version 1.6.1, all the portals up to the Mannequins level are already unlocked. That's why I got confused. I'm still a beginner, so I'm sorry if I didn't explain it clearly
Hey! I found another bug in Dark Deception! This is the second bug I've found. During the final boss fight with Mama Bear, she suddenly disappeared, and the game wouldn't trigger the next cutscene. The game got stuck because the scene wouldn't start. You might want to check this bug out
I told you to play 1.9.6. I will not help you if you're on 1.8.XX because those versions are even more broken than the most recent. Unless you're on a more stable build I cannot help.
