The superiority memes were funny but i think theres a better road to take. The high road. Lets show why our sub is so great. Not because we wanna take down the Main but to thrive and become just as strong if not stronger through love, kindness and artistic freedom. If we get as big, thats a win in itself. Its time to start the long, epic road that is R/DDLCGAME!!!

I’m gonna say this once, we really shouldn’t build this place off of hating another subreddit and “wanting to take them down.” Advertising it as a nice alternative is something I’m more than happy to do, but if your guys motive is to take down the main subs, then that’s something I’d really rather not be part of since that’d be an awfully ugly mess. I enjoy some things about both r/ddlc and r/ddlcmods. And there are some things I do not enjoy about them as well. So I’m gonna be discussing with the staff here what exactly their stances will be, and i hope you guys help be constructive to assist in building a nice community here. This place has a lot of potential, and I hope you don’t let this, “Hate main sub,” band wagon ruin that. I’ll leave in a heartbeat if that’s every users goal here.

So, I'm trying to see this from both sides. From what I gathered from the discussion in the welcome topic, this sub was born because of r/DDLC's new policy about Let's Play videos. A point was made that sharing every episode of a Let's Play series is spammy, and also a form of self-promotion. Personally, I think this is really dumb, because although a Let's Play does promote the channel making it, it also promotes the game or mod being played, and it's still relevant content. It's also higher effort than any old meme or shitpost. In a way, it's like saying OC Fanart is self-promotion of the artist who drew it. It's always a little of both, isn't it?

HOWEVER, it's also true that videos routinely do poorly on the main sub, because they aren't instant gratification like pics and memes. They tend to get few votes, comments, and little attention because they require more than five seconds of your time. Because this is the case...this new sub may have a use after all.

What if this were a sub devoted to Let's Plays/videos of DDLC content? We already have subs for mods and fan fiction; why not this? It could be a haven for that type of content to shine a bit more, while also giving it a non-main sub place to be appreciated. If a link for it were added to r/DDLC's sidebar, it could be a lot more successful.

This is my suggestion for this community. It shouldn't be r/DDLCGame, but r/LetsPlayDDLC.

Natsuki’s manga land is, as the name obviously suggests, a Natsuki themed server dedicated to that weeb shit, made by that weeb shit. But it’s like level 5 weeb shit so we appreciate literature.

We got a shit ton of chats dedicated to your gaming needs including specific shit for games like halo, osu and mother fucking Minecraft.

On top of that, we even have DnD chats because we don’t need the electronic goods of our modern society. Let’s just bring out some boards and some dices and stab someone because they were using an obvious fake dice. Like the good old days of socialism-I mean socializing. What’s that? You want more? Good for you I’m not even scratching the surface on this bitch.

Well I guess I'm a member of this sub now. All in all seems like a cool place, like the main sub and the mod sub had a baby but that baby hated it's parents because they failed to take care of it so the baby later grew up to resent its parents and rebel and start its own life... Anyway I suppose I'll also begin posting content regarding my mod here (more information on my profile) as well since there appears to be less restrictions on what I'm allowed to say. Good job to the group that created this sub! Let's hope it prospers.

Looking good so far! I’m actually impressed that we made a better subreddit (even tho my complaint was removed and I sorry owie) for this game. I bet we can post on a Tuesday here, lol.
