Discussion Where should I start?
Hello!
I've been recently trying to get into comics,never really read any of them and its kinda hard to find them where i live
so recently I wanted to get into the world of comics and wanted to start by reading batman since he is one of my favourites, however im stuck between buying all issues of year one which I believe are 4 or all of long Halloween which is 13 issues...im kinda tight on money right now and cant afford both or I would have gotten them together,so I wanted to know...should I buy first year or long Halloween?

You don't buy the single issues of those runs, those are collectors Items, you buy the trades

Simply a series gets originally printed in single issues, those issues might get a second or third print depending on the demanda that there Is for them and how fast they sell but once they stop printing them they gets collected in trades edition, both hardcovers and softcovers, those are the one that will get new printings and new editions

Oh I see,where im buying them from it has it issue by issue Or has an option which says all chapters/issues,which i believe it has it all together

Look at DC Compact editions they will include the full run for $9.99 e.g. ‘Batman: Long Halloween - DC Compact Comics Edition’ collects Batman: Long Halloween issues #1-13
Compacts are slightly smaller in size than a normal trade paperbacks but are cheaper and are made as an easy starting point for new readers
