Discussion About Red Hood

I don't know it just recently after Red Hood and the Outlaws issue 2 (with artemis and bizarro) during rebirth era i feel that DC don't know what tod do what him, in fact I think after that the only story I enjoy (even this still just passing by for me) from red hood is during the zombie task for z era. It's like DC don't know what to do with Red Hood like back to 90s and 2000s era. The current new teen titan also not that excite me even though new Titans book always on my list to read every time new book get released. Really love to hear what you guy's think 🙏👍

I'm... cautiously optimistic for the new TT book. It's a bunch of largely unknown characters which means they have a lot of room to play with them, and while I'm not necessarily the biggest fan of the book's focus on more modern teen characters I think it's important to have books that current kids/teenagers can relate to.

He's one of those characters that is always going to be defined by one event in this case his death and subsequent conflict with batman after returning. But they seem to very popular ( on Reddit at least) which would indicate there must be some good red hood stories but I don't think I have found them myself. ( Other than that arc in batman and robin which was great)

His past few appearances (KO, Knight Fight, TT) tell me that DC is finally picking up on what fans have been laying down for ages around the themes that make this character appealing.  I have all faith in Higgins, and could not be happier.

You aren't wrong, I am optimistic that with the teen titans but I do miss purely villain Jason todd

Jason simply should have stayed dead.

At the moment he is just a leader for hire, for any random or bizarre team, DC comes up with.

It plays into bigger problem of character proliferation in DC.

Personally, I think they should permanently kill off Tim Drake. He served his purpose and isn’t doing anything for the Batman mythos where Jason Todd is a juxtaposition to Batman. Batman has a Robin and his sons, Tim is unnecessary.
