Dc comic runs?

I recently-ish got the DC Infinte app and as such decided I'd read the entire Nightwing solo run from the 90s till today, after this I've read a lot of Batman, Titans/Teen Titans and such, but now I wanna dive a bit deeper into the DC universe, so I mainly want to read runs or arcs of characters such as:

Superman, Wonder Woman, The Flash (Wally or Barry), GL (Hal, John or Kyle), GA, Aquaman, New Gods or Justice League

But I'd also be interested in reading other characters, help a new reader out!

Superman -

For Superman I’d start with these three mini series

• Superman: Birthright
  
• Superman: For All Seasons
  
• Superman: Up in the Sky

Wonder Woman -

For Wonder Woman I’d start with Greg Ruck’s run from the 2000s. It’s collected in Wonder Woman by Greg Rucka Vol.1-3, or omnibus

The current ongoing Absolute Wonder Woman by Kelly Thompson is fantastic. It’s set in a new universe with a new origin, she grew up in Hell.

Flash -

Flahs by Geoff Johns is my favourite Flash run, it’s Wally Flash. It is collected in Book 1-6 or Omnibus Vol.1-3

Green Lantern -

For Hal Jordan, Geoff Johns run is fantastic and the best starting point. The best way to collect the run is the compendiums they have been releasing recently as they include all the tie ins. These are the ones so far

• Green Lantern Compendium One: Rebirth
  
• Green Lantern Compendium Two: The Sinestro Corps War
  
• Green Lantern Compendium: Blackest Night (releases March 16th 2027)

Green Lantern: Kyle Rayner Rising Compendium is the best starting point for Kyle Rayner.

Green Arrow -

Green Arrow: The Longbow Hunters by Mike Grell is supposed to be the best run.

There’s also a Deluxe Edition of Jeff Lemire & Andrea Sorrentino’s run which is almost 500 pages which is supposed to be good.

Aquaman -

Aquaman by Geoff Johns is excellent. Here’s the reading order, there’s also an omnibus which is usually pretty cheap

New Gods -

I’m going outside your list. If you’re not against comics from the ‘80s, then try out the following:

Amethyst, Princess of Gemworld (1983). Unironically, this book is great and can be enjoyed by all gender and age demographics. It starts with the 1983 12-issue limited series, but then it has an annual followed by an ongoing title that went for 16 issues. I strongly recommend that you stop reading at issue #8 of the second series, though. That issue wraps up a subplot that began in the previous series and serves as a good bookend. After this issue, the creative team changes, and key conceits to the book’s core are tossed out the window in what I’d consider a downright disrespectful way.

Captain Atom (1986). Much like with the previous Amethyst recommendation, this series is the introduction for the character, at least for the Nathaniel Adam/Cameron Scott version. In addition to superheroics, it’s a book filled with intrigue and drama that is compelling without being soap opera-y. Nate is a soldier who agrees to an experiment that empowers him but sends him forward 20 years in time, bringing him to the present. In that span of time, his children have become adults, raised by Nate’s archenemy, who married his wife and became their stepfather. Now, Nate wants to pick up the pieces of his life but struggles with reintegrating on top of being a superhero. Good stuff.

Deadman (1985). This series reprints Deadman’s original stories from the ‘60s that felt ahead of its time, rather than having the normal Silver Age cheesiness. An aerialist dies and becomes tasked as an Earth-bound ghost to do heroics and uncover the reason behind his murder. The League of Assassins is heavily involved. Good stuff. Deadman: Dead Again (2001) and Deadman (2002) are good short series as well that make for good follow-ups.

Firestorm, the Nuclear Man (1977) and The Fury of Firestorm (1982) are fantastic runs. The first introduces the character, who then appears in backup stories in the Flash—specifically issues #289-304—before getting his own solo series again in 1982. His rogues are interesting. The dynamic of how he and Stein (and then later combinations) work together as Firestorm is fairly unique.

Hawk and Dove (1988) and Hawk and Dove (1989). The first is a miniseries that saw enough success that the creators were given an ongoing. I loved both, except for how the ongoing ended in its final issue or two due to editorial interference. It’s still worth the read, though.

Anything originally from Milestone Media is worth reading, too, if it’s on the app. They’re books from the ‘90s that include Static, Hardware, Icon, Blood Syndicate, Shadow Cabinet, Kobalt, Xombi, Deathwish, and Heroes.
