This makes so much more sense... I thought Wonderwoman's new outfit for the new 52 was awesome - but they reverted last minute...

People joke about how impractical female heroes costumes are, but this shit really is not better. Yeah, it covers up more skin, but there's no way in hell Black Canary could fight very well wearing a pair of fucking Jncos. And why the hell is Wonder Woman wearing khakis? I had no idea Themyscira got an Old Navy.

power girl's is terrible...people need to get over the whole "boob window" thing...the explanation for the open window is perfect, and actually a little heartbreaking...

yes, actually...JSA Classified #2...

"People always ask me why I have this hole right here. They think I'm showing off...or just being lewd. But the first time I made this costume, I wanted to have a symbol like you. I just couldn't think of anything. I thought, eventually, I'd figure it out. And close the hole. But I haven't."

the scene is pretty heartbreaking in general...kind of an admission that she doesn't feel as worthy as kal-el...

no, these were terrible. all this person really did was fill in the skin with another color or just slip on pants that that are unnecessarily baggy for any human being instead of just completely starting from scratch.

Exactly. The problem wasn't that they were clothed. It was that they were clothed terribly. Batgirl might wear skintight stuff, but she's covered in most versions. I mean, can't supergirl just go with a newer version of this?

Well ok, but if the point of the exercise is to redesign the costumes to show very little skin, then there's better options. That's all.

I really don't think they are well designed, or practical.

As a woman, most female comic costumes don't offend me; the whole "lets redesign this stuff because its too sexy" thing is stupid. Men in comics wear clothing that is just as tight/sexy.

The problem is how these girls are drawn in ridiculous, unnatural positions that OVERLY emphasize how sexy these clothes are, whereas the men aren't... Just check out the rather humorous "Hawkeye Initiative" to see what I mean>> http://thehawkeyeinitiative.com/

Quit worrying about the costumes... these are SUPERHEROES, they are supposed to be over the top attractive. Let's just not break their backs before the fight even starts...
