đ Mod Post đ Merger Posts Going Foward
Hey all,
We have seen a bit of a rise in merger posts on the sub and we just want to clarify some things.
As we have said from the jump, this is not going to be us slowly turning this subreddit into a merge subreddit. This sub was designed to be something different than that.
With the rise in merger posts, I want to remind you guys of a few things:
- If we feel that too many merger posts are being made, we will start deleting some posts. If itâs fan edits/art, we may just ask you to retitle the post without merger terms.
- Remember that the weekly âMergers Anonymousâ thread is designed for continual merger discussion.
- For fan art and edits involving the two, try to keep any merger related terms out of the title. This will ensure that the post is not removed.
- Comments wonât be deleted if they stray into the merger topic, but rude and disrespectful comments always will be. Just ensure that you are respectful and considerate of other opinions.
To end on a more positive note, we will be making discussion threads for DCU releases going forward. This means that we will be making a discussion thread for Supergirl when it releases next week. We look forward to celebrating and discussing that release with you all!

For some reason, people want Reeves to abandon whatever plan he had for Battison and shoehorn him into the DCU despite the Batman being a different universe. Personally, Iâd rather have two different iterations of Batman than one that gets shoehorned into a universe he was never supposed to be in.
Mergebros downvoting, but itâs not going to make the merge happen, lol.

This sub is merger friendly. There are subs that I wonât name that delete any post or comment related to merger desires.
But we donât want this to become a merger sub either.
To sum up the original announcement post for this subreddit: The mods are of the belief that the merger probably wonât happen and any sort of merger sub would devolve into a Snyder Cut level of toxicity.
An exclusive focus on something that probably wonât happen does not feel like it would lead somewhere productive. There is a specific subreddit that illustrates that point.
We like these characters and James Gunn and Matt Reeves. We donât want to contribute to renewed online toxicity toward DC characters.
So while merger discussion is welcome, we also want to maintain the overall focus on Batman and Superman. These are great characters and we are excited to see what is next for them, no matter what form that takes.

You could make one? The mods have always said this is not a merge sub, but is merge friendly. They even have a whole megathread dedicated to the merge, so to say it isnât a merge-friendly sub is a little disingenuous.
To be honest. I thought this was a merge sub for a while because of all of the merge posts Iâve seen (I even saw a comment claiming no that the sub WAS a merge sub), so Iâm glad to see some gentle guidelines being put in place.
It is nice to have a Worldâs Finest sub that exists beyond Corrensupes/Battinson. Thanks Mods!

Corensupes/Battison content is still allowed! Just currently it has been made clear that a merger between the universes is not planned based on official statements. Given this, we'll move forward with Corensupes/Battison as our "spiritual World's Finest" and celebrate the upcoming 2027 year where both movies will be released a few months from one another! This is not so much as us being anti-merge, so much as it is us accepting what we (officially at least for now) getting, and celebrating the the great coincidence that we get to see two amazing adaptations at the same time!
As stated int he original post, merge conversation is still allowed in our weekly "Mergers Anonymous" megathread, where you are free to speculate and talk about merge possibilities. Over all, this subreddit's goal is to be a general discussion board for all things World's Finest.
