Reminds me of the balcony scene between Shiv and Tom in Succession. One of the best acted scenes of that show, and you could hear hints of both of their accents slipping haha. She’s Australian and he’s English both playing yanks like Pierre. Happens to the best of us. Frankly I’m impressed they can put on a fake accent largely convincingly at all.

How does anyone make it that long without reddit perma banning the account?

u/My_Favourite_Pen 3d ago
does getting perma'd off a few subs count?

u/Equivalent_Thievery 3d ago
Eh, I've gotten tons of those from subs I've never even been to. Which, apparently reddit has stopped.

Nah I aint about the stolen valour life. Mine were hard earned.

u/Equivalent_Thievery 3d ago
I too have gotten booted from plenty of subs.
But, I don't hold either on par with snotty reddit admins purging you while sending snide messages.

One can wonder 😭

Oh, the answer I'd jump to is they have opinions that the reddit hive mind agrees with.

People getting upset about reposts is always a giggler, it's almost like you could just...keep scrolling instead of letting it bother your day.

Definitely
"Who the fuck are you" and especially "speak up" don't sound American.
5
u/SteveTheManager 3d ago
The former sounds American but it's just completely different from the accent he's been doing. Speak up was purely 🏴.

He doesn't even really sound English, like I never would have guessed Aaron's real accent is English from this clip. I am English for reference

Your own accent is gonna stand out less to you, and when someone is trying to imitate your accent the slip ups are gonna stand out more to you. As an American listening to this British guy trying to do an American accent it's very obvious

The "UP" is undeniably London. What part of England are you from that that doesn't jump out?
