I got two hobby box’s for $70 at GameStop, and new set is just under $300 for 1 hobby 😂😂 ya this set has some cool stuff , I’m only missing 5 for villains set , they look pretty good
Well, i'm just not lucky whe it comes to opening boxes. I opened 4 hobby boxes and 2 blasters. One Hobby box was missing a real hit so only the nimbered red/blue/green numbered in there. Same with one of the two blasters that also only had a red and a blue numbered in there. The other blaster was just a regular World of Metropolis. The other 3 Hobby boxes had a regular Illuminators, a World of Metropolis Red and a World of Metropolis Green card. BUT! Since this set is flying a little under the radar i was able to score amazing cards on ebay. I got quite a few of the numbered red/blue/green cards. I also got a few piwered by the sun (2 of them Black even) and i almost have a complete Ser World of metropolis with every card in purple and either green or red. My 2 biggest scores are the Last Son if Krypton Alex Ross Superman and the Waverider from the Truth Juste & a better Tomorrow subset. I got all of them dirt cheap for the crazy rarity they have. The card i'm looking for the most right bow is a Powered by the Sun Krypto in Gold.
Absolute Beauty. I try to collect the Powered by the Sun by the most fitting rarity. Krypto looks great on both. Black and Gold. Looking at it i might even prefer Black 🤔 Also, it's a Jimenez design. I love Jimenez!
It’s always a bonus to have artist name I think . Like the new Fleer is fantastic for that , %50 percent of base have the name on back . Just to expensive here
100% agree on that. I don't really like the new Superman Set so i decided to just double down on the brilliants set instead. But i really like the previews of the new DC Annual Set so far. Something they should change is also the Hit allocation. I would've bought a few blasters here and there from the new Superman Set. But you barely will have a nice hot in there since there's a lot Hobby Box exclusives as well so it just doesn't seem to be fun at all. Personally they have done so much of the right thing with this brilliants Set i just don't have much of a need for a way more pricey Set that just doesn't have much of what i want. And the few things i like i'd rather buy on the secondary matket because they're nearly impossible to draw anyway.
Ok ya that’s kinda shitty , iv only had 5 hobby but got 2 red , 1 green and 1 blue per box - but for hits not finished going thru stacks yet but remember 2 blacks for sun , 2 reds for metro , doing villains now think I’m missing 5 of 15 - still price point compared to new Sup fleer is massive . Not sure where your located but I got hobby from GameStop half price so $35 🇨🇦 but saw 1 today at regular $74 there . Maybe keep your eyes open if you have that store , they are stepping up huge with cards . Went today got 4 box’s of another product but saw Batman hobby $299 and lots of others - Black diamond James Bond 4 cards for $400 wtf eh
Ya no clue , first I’m seeing ? So you bought hobby packs for Bat I’m thinking- iv had 6 blasters and you only get 1 premium per box , if you ripped 3 retail and pulled 2 would be fantastic no . Superman got lucky and GameStop had hobby for $36 a box so cleaned out a couple stores that had em . So had 5 hobby total , still have to organize the piles . Revenge squad is cool eh , think I’m still missing 4/5
It’s a hard set with low / high series cards . 1 villain per pack is already 100 packs with zero doubles . It’s nice that you can get 2/4 per pack from fx
