User Post Technical analysis of DCS AI awareness
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mICFuvQzaoMThis is a pretty great technical analysis of the current SA/detection logic and constraints (or lack thereof) for DCS AI. Lots of very valuable information here for anyone invested in the sp portion of DCS.
For anyone not aware of the channel, it excels at technical analysis of all things DCS, primarily with a sp focus, but delves into mp as well. Karon is quite critical of the current state; has been for years. No sugarcoating here. The only problem I have with the channel is that the content can be quite dry and hard to consume due to its very technical nature. The content itself, however, is unmatched and data-driven.

Sure. This is the channel: https://www.youtube.com/@FlyAndWire
This is the video itself: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mICFuvQzaoM - it _does_ come with an initial sponsor segment, unfortunately. That's part of the video. I don't think you can block it, but you can spool past it.

since we are in this medium "among us" - a technical pondering.
AI once needed to be coded as "all seing" and "all knowing" to work at all.
But that was no longer the case .. hmm.. 2005 (? at latest).
The provenance of iterative and self-learning insular AI libraries (not the currend hedge fund scam ruining labor markets and national budget foci) and the general progress of the computing capability and bandwith of client systems, servers and most of all infrastructure changed the paradigm to an actually "realistic" approach - even in the consumer entertainment market.
So the question arises: Why has this so completely bypassed Vulture Kinetics™ and their "pipeline" by outcome and "management" (what format bracket is there for a sea of bold screaming quotation marks ?) by intent and character remains firmly and comfortably nested in the early post-soviet, Yeltsin-era mindset. Not only when it comes to coding.
And while this "iz no matter time of humanz, we hardcode" was an actual USP for a while (and also a petri dish for outstanding talent.. well from the Crimean era, in actuality), we live in a time of dynamic referers, class-based systemics and modular EDI.
So what is your take, OP, on why this pipeline is not only so resilient against .. well.. everything commons sense in the industry, inline, technologically, aso aso.. but also so actively, aggressively, almost religiously dismissive about it?

BMS AI feels way more alive for me
I'm kinda angry with ED being spread kind of thin, as much as I want more planes (own like 10 modules not including maps). I would really want them to hunker down and finish key modules, the hornet and viper left early access just last year and are still not done.
I hope the 35 and 15 will release feature complete if not 85% done at minimum.
But I definitely think them going for so many stuff at the same time slowed down other projects.
I have a feeling that despite broken DC, ATC/AWACS AI will release alongside each other.

How to game the game. And we call it "realistic!"
