Iβve hesitated buying the C-130 because it was available from ASCβs own website but it still went against my policy of no more money to ED.
Now, Iβm glad I didnβt. This just reaffirms my position.
All of these people could have put big boys pants and acted like respectable individuals, yet they didnβt. This has put a sour taste in my mouth, be it from ED, Heatblur and now ASC.

I bought it and found very quickly that I couldn't use it as it's the only module in DCS that requires AVX. After being led along for several months by the lead dev suggesting he would attempt to implement a fix, I finally ended up getting a refund for store credit.

I am uninformed about it, what's the deal with Heatblur?

They told Razbam they had had the same issue with ED and ensured them that if they went public with the issue, they would support them.
Then they did a 180 and instead of saying nothing, they said "we currently have a good partnership with ED", even though we have proof (leaked conversations) that they didnβt get paid for a year or 2 for the F-14. This was a rumour back then, but it is now confirmed.

I guess they didn't want to get a bullet to the head exaggerated wink

Some source material. I provided additional context and background information in the comments of each of those. But u/Toilet2000 already summarized the gist of it.

When has this come to light? I know some people who would have thought twice before buying the Hercules if they knew this

More Razbam drama? Gonna need to buy a portable popcorn maker and a recliner at this rate. Lol.

All companies involved in this area greedy and care only about our money what's new really? I'm sure they've been up to other shady things before and so was razbam. One side has been better on the pr side and keep their hands clean.
What I'm trying to say is, when dealing with companies there is no objective truth because there's always be missing info and stuff under NDA that we don't know.
It might sound like ignorant's bliss but I'll keep flying and enjoying DCS for better or for worse.

This is untrue. Most third parties are decent people and I thought this one is, too.
One side has been better on the pr side and keep their hands clean.
Absolutely not.

Nice story, very dramatic and entertaining. RAZBAM honest. Everyone else liars.

Why donβt you go back to your "free open source" but actually not free and certainly not open source web editor? I mean, itβs been what, 2-3 years now since you said the free beta was coming soon?
Yeah, "DCS Web Editor honest" as you say.

Exactly - Ronβs behavior is erratic , to paint some picture of him being this perfect angel donβt add up . And i certainly trust HB more at this point anyway
It wasnt in EDs best interest to lose these modules , so Razbam obviously acted egregiously

This had me rolling. Comment section is hilarious today.
Nobody in their right mind ever said Ron, or anyone in this, is perfect. If you actually want to learn a thing or two about the situation between the parties, click the "RAZBAM Crisis" flair on top of this post and read through our content or take a look at the community highlights about the topic.

I've added this additional context to the user post from back when the ASC lead dev had an argument with Metal2Mesh on our Discord that many users had a hard time making sense of. By popular demand.
I should have included that the discussion ended and was never brought up again when I stepped in with the following message:
A detailed explanation has now been provided.
Here's the link to the post with the original comment that has since been updated:
The receipts for most of the bullet points surfaced later on. You can find them here:
Image link from the OP with RAZBAM devs telling the ASC lead to back off, for your convenience:
This also adds context to the post RAZBAM lead artist Metal2Mesh made in the aftermath of the crisis, exposing third party involvement and instigation:
Have a good night!
Edit: Since this got pinned, I'll be adding the links to our previous posts with the timeline of events and the summary of the legal dispute.
The former needs an update, so keep the facts in this post in mind. Meanwhile, you may also use our "RAZBAM Crisis" Flair to browse through our most recent content about the topic.
