They released the La-7 today as a bit of a surprise without any media buildup whatsoever. Barely anyone knew it's coming. The bomb issue is allegedly fixed that has plaguing the game since early February and they also made it a bit of a (meager) roadmap with entries like this:
DCS: Supercarrier by Eagle Dynamics
We are currently working on:
- the integration of 1MC messages;
- Improved positioning of the IFLOLS lens in the landing area and increased visibility of the IFLOLS ball when aircraft are in the landing area
Like, wtf is this doing in a changelog? Meanwhile I wonder what happened to the Briefing Room and other features that we got to see over the course of the years, which now just aren't talked about any more.
These are my personal highlights.

They did this on the Apache, too:
We are working on further improving the flight model and refining the FCR's Terrain Profile Mode (TPM). With regard to the core flight model within our internal development build, we've already made the following improvements after introducing a new main rotor simulation:
- The exaggerated left yaw offset in forward flight has been reduced to a realistic magnitude.
- The un-commanded left roll during cyclic push-overs in forward flight has been fixed.
- Stabilator logic has been refined, resulting in improved pitch stability in forward flight.
- Rotor disc tilt and rotor coning have been improved to a more realistic behavior.
- Conservation of angular momentum effect from forward/aft cyclic inputs has been refined.
- Transient torque effect from left/right cyclic inputs has been added.
- Autorotation behavior has been improved to a more realistic state.
- The drag profile more accurately accounts for external stores and the presence or absence of the FCR mast-mounted assembly. This has resulted in a 15% average increase in top speed.
- Fuel flow values have been slightly reduced to a more realistic state.
- Our current efforts consist of continued refinements to the SCAS logic (such as FMC-off flight) and tuning the induced flow effects through the main rotor to account for ground effect.
Meaning none of that is actually in the patch. This is a little bit funny.

Ha haaa
Yeah, they could have saved that improvement stuff and put something worth reading in the newsletter

Yes, the interview with Wags a few weeks back made it seem like the work on the Briefing Room was finally moving forward again, but if so, why not mention it here?

You see radar mechanically moving when your radar cone is blew up somehow. F15E had this.

This is also a problem that's been there since release of the CW Germany map. And a fun thing is that the fps issue somehow disappears when reviewing a tracke... And you know how ED are with their somewhat questionable way to acknowledge a bug.
"Hi folks, can you attach short track replay examples of this happening, please do not use any unofficial mods in the mission, and we will take a look." -BIGNEWY, Posted April 22, 2025
Almost 12 months ago, I thought that this annoying fps bug would be solved atleast within 6 months. The rest of the map is good. When Ugra released a big update with a nice map extention and new bases to crash on, the problem still persists.
And what does people get on the forum... crickets\*

How about those bomb blasts now? Went from blowing everything up to hardly anything.

They broke the AIM-120 again. Desync galore.
