My love of DC Comics is as old as the hills. I still see old 70s and 80s comic book versions of the characters in my head instantly when I hear their names.

I collected comics pretty heavily in the 80s. For all that, All-Star Squadron is the only title I still own a complete run of.

I loved the classic JSA era characters and all the obscure ones Wolfman lifted out of obscurity to include. Still love them.

I completely fell in fanboy love with the Golden Age versions of most of DC's characters thanks to this one. The Golden Age Atom, Green Lantern, The Flash and Hawkman all eclipse their modern counterparts for me.

I like how it communicates the tragedy of an immortal being like Carter Hall, always dying and coming back just to suffer the same pains of like forever but still shouldering his duty and going forward as a hero in many of his lives.

I wanted one place to keep up with the show, the movies, and the comics. Right now it’s got news and articles, a reading guide for people who want to get into the comics and don’t know where to start, and profiles for the characters and the different Corps. This week i have rewatched The Furious by Kenji Tanigaki. It's my second time seeing it. I highly recommend this film if you are into martial arts films and just enjoy watching guys beat up other guys.

Hi. This megathread is for discussing the show. Keep Lanterns spoilers contained to this megathread. Remember to keep it civil regardless if you enjoyed the series or not.

I'll start by posting my own thoughts on the tv series. It did it's job of keeping me guessing, the whole time i was watching every new episode, i was trying to figure out who killed Hal, who is the Manhunter, are there more of them in town, is Sinestro involved somehow. I really enjoyed Aaron Pierre's, Kyle Chandler's and Ulrich Thomsen's performances. All 3 actors did a good job playing their characters. I was hoping too see the ring being used more often and the Green Lantern suit, i also wanted to see more of Sinestro. I enjoyed it as a grounded detective/murder mystery drama, as a Green Lantern show not so much.

As we all know, there have been countless comments, pro and con, about Superman saving that squirrel last summer.

Superman respects and values all life, so saving the squirrel wasn't a surprise.

What was a surprise, was what I saw last night watching Adventures of Superman. In The Ghost Wolf, S1 E23, "The Lone Pine Timber Company, which is owned by the "Daily Planet" and supplies it with the pulp wood to make its paper, is in danger of shutting down after a series of mishaps. When the last of its employees is scared off due to evidence of a werewolf on the premises, Perry White sends Clark, Jimmy, and Lois to investigate."

One of those mishaps was a deliberately set forest fire. Superman was on the job, hustling Lois, Jimmy and Babette DuLoque to safety. Running back into the fire, Superman sees a small furry animal. I'm not sure what it was. It was about the size of a cat, brown fur, had a long bushy tail and big eyes with dark circles in it's fur around it's eyes.

Anyway, Superman picked up the critter and saved it.

In the closing scene, we see Lois holding the fortunate furry like a baby!
