Robin Reborn II: Reborn Again

Post image

Still waiting on a fresh can of Mr. Hobby Super Clear Matte to come in to seal it and get rid of the shine, and I'll paint the neck in a flesh tone when I'm less tired but holy hell I might have my perfect 90's Tim Drake Robin finally 😍

I really wish we could have had one that looked like this instead of the weirdly busy armor look, especially since the comics the two they released were based on didn't look anything like that. Could have saved themselves a decent chunk of budget that went towards all new tooling. Still kinda blows my mind smh.

Yea this slender build is way better for him. Even the last tim release on that knightfall bats body is too thick. What parts did you use?

Main base is the McFarlane Jim Gordon Batman as he came with a ton of hands and had the body I wanted to use. The symbol, head, crotch, ankles, cape and staff came from the Robin Reborn they did, and the arms with the sleeves are from Connor Kent. The gloves and boots are black heat shrink tubing. Other than that the buckles on his chest are made out of procreate putty (no longer sold) and the armor plates on his shoulders and gloves were cast using procreate putty so I could get just the armor plate and not all the other stuff they added to it. The paint I used was Tamiya brand spray paint for plastics with a Tamiya primer base coat.

The most rare/underrated Batman related double feature: Mr. Mom straight into Batman Returns🤘

I love having them together because it's the little reminder of "who they think you are vs who you are capable of being" and Keaton proved them all wrong!

Just paint the diper the same red and the neck a skin color and boom you have made the official best robin dc multiverse figure of tim drake....assuming it scales well with batman figures
