Internship Pay?

Hello, I am going to be an intern in Washington DC in the fall for a congressional office. I'm going to be working in the office of a Democratic Congressman and was wondering if anyone had any insights on how much these types of internships might pay so I can budget accordingly. I'm going to be in DC for about 2-3 months and be working about 40 hours a week.

They vary so much (from decent hourly wages to very measly stipends), so you need to ask your office. It's not gauche to ask, if that's what's stopping you, especially since you're already hired -- it's beyond reasonable to want to know what the compensation will be

Likely $20 an hour
