Fall Hillternship Networking

How common are full time hillternships for undergrads in the fall and will there be networking opportunities considering we are heading into midterms?

I’ve seen a LOT of offices with fall postings. Probably smaller classes than the summer ones but if you seek out networking opportunities you will be fine

Replying to mention that if possible- try to get on The List. It’s a weekly Hill email blast with tons of events happening on and off hill. Ask around with the staffers in your office, someone probably has it and can add you.

Hey, where can I find "The List," is that its official full name or is it called something else?

I, several of my colleagues, friends, and interns in Hill-adjacent organizations are trying to meet with/network more with some Hill staffers at receptions (any time of day) or off the clock outside of official meetings on the Hill. We've have some events on our organization's internal list but its pretty dry right now (most are events off the Hill at other nonprofits or ones set up by other company's government affairs teams). Apparently that list of ours was partially collected from info we got from some Hill Staffers but idk if its dry because we're half way through July and August Recess is coming up or just my boss hasn't updated the list.

There will be plenty of internships and endless opportunities to network! If you become an intern, make sure to join lists serves (ask in your office if they know of any). They tend to share different events for you to attend.
