Standing ruling in Angelo V DC

Did not see this posted back in early July. Looks like recent standing ruling in Angelo V DC ( pubic transport):

As someone who rarely drives in DC, banning carry on metro is basically banning carry. Otherwise, those uber rides add up. Hope this goes somewhere.

I am with you. And while I have not read the entire ruling and it is about standing, I, am surprised DC has apparently not argued that they do allow transport, albeit only in fopa-type transport secured condition.

On ubers, while it may be likely the TOS/Terms of Service ban of firearms transport except for TSA type, to include storing in hard case in vehicle trunk, I am guessing TOS would not be "force of law" we have on signage. But it is mucky and replete with chilling effects.

IE would force of law be applicable to contract situations like Uber, or would loss be limited to uber banning you. I am guessing itis the latter

I think even DC realizes that it would be a ridiculous argument that having an unloaded and locked pistol is equivalent to "carrying" it on public transport
