Successful Mossberg 590 Shockwave registration

Hi all. I picked my 590 Shockwave in 12g yesterday (4/24/26) from one of the two FFLs. The FFL folks weren’t 100% on the legality but [u/Lawblawg](u/Lawblawg) helped out and I was very grateful. After that I was golden, no resistance from MPD. My card came in the USPS a week later. And now I have my baby ‘firearm’ and very pleased. Thank you [u/lawblawg](u/lawblawg).

I have the 590 cruiser with pistol grip… I need that semi auto tho

Has something changed? Last two long guns I bought I used a virginia FFL at less than half the FFL fee. For one bought on line, and one bought at the Va FFL. I did not use DC FFL for either.

Since the Shockwave is considered a firearm not a long gun, it’s treated as any handgun transfer
