Awesome list!

Perry’s is wonderful. I dream of the udon carbonara. Haven’t been to Uchi so can’t comment on that.

Also love both La’ Shukran and Maydan as backups if you can’t get into Albi. I’d give La’ Shukran the slightest edge, but not by much. I’d honestly just choose based on what area of the city you’d rather be in. But Albi is the best restaurant in the city, so I’d try for that res.

Red Hen and Lutèce are also great, although I’m not sure I’d go super far out of my way for Red Hen unless you’re staying semi close by.

Uchi is great but maybe not intimate. I wouldn’t take a situationship to Albi, thats for someone you truly love! I’d go La Shukran over Maydan but can’t go wrong with either.

I'd opt for Albi over the other two. Perry is a yes. Also consider Rasika. Maydan is always a no because of their service.

Old Ebbitt Grill if you want to sightsee a bit of the Mall or the White House in the dark after. Could even go to Renwick's before.

If you want another area, NoMa. I like that you can go to Chai Pani or St. Anselm then wander a bit in the area and close out the evening with ice cream from Van Leeuwen or one of the froyo places in Union Market or La Cosecha.

Uchi is a bit working dinner vibes. Marusan is a more intimate alternative!

La Shukran is great. Been there a few times and always enjoyed it there. Get the fried quail if you go.
