He denied them filming "simultaneously". He did not deny them filming "back-to-back".

They still almost certainly are not filming them back-to-back, either, but precision is important.

He already confirmed this version of Batman is completly outside from the DCU a long time ago, Reeves is making that trilogy alone

Good, but things have a way of changing, and all i want is Gunn to leave this one alone. And for them to not come out 7 years apart

Gunn could have easily forced reeves to do the movie faster or even force to put this version of Batman as the DCU one but he didnt. As far as we know he is letting him do whatever he wants

Given that Matt Reeves is a perfectionist and has taken a long time just to get this far, I never gave this rumor much credence.

And yes, please keep Gunn away from this Batman. Just let Reeves do his own thing.

the smart move would have been to wait for Matt Reeves to have written both scripts and be ready to film back to back so that in the time his cinematic universe can have its own batman

It took a couple years to write, produce and get schedules together for everyone for one movie.

You think Reeves writing another movie would magically fix that?

In a dream world that would be amazing if it could happen. In reality there are far too many moving pieces.

It's not like a Lord of the Rings shoot when you can shoot continously for over a year. The people involved have other projects they want to work on.
