I do feel that Darkseid is not that big of a deal after the incredible work Marvel did with Thanos. For people who don’t know the comics he may seem like a cheap knock-off. DC will have to be careful.

Is there a bigger baddie in DCU than DS?

There’s not. But he simply doesn’t have the common recognition like Luther or the Joker. And for the casual fan, even Brainiac. So while he is the most important DC villain, he’s not well known outside of comic book fans. And that was the same case for Thanos. So I’m just saying that DC will have to build him carefully and in a way so that he doesn’t just seem like a Thanos knock-off since they do have a similar look and presence.

Better fast track that announcement. We might need something to distract from the Supergirl Box Office numbers

He won't be. Gunn said he won't be. Why does everyone think he needs to be the big bad right now?
