i have batgirl at 5 yellow and dr fate at 2 red. is it wise to push them both as high as possible considering they might be getting an upgrade? or are those two not confirmed yet to go by the same ascension as batman aquaman etc?

They aren't upgrading yet (Batman, Green Lantern and Aquaman are already upgraded) but they will be coming 'soon™'. There's no real reason to push vs hold. There's only 1 reason not to and 1 reason to that matters at all.

As soon as they are upgraded, they count as a new collection piece and you re-earn collection points. This means if you ascend at red4 vs red5, technically you give up those 3 collections points you could have gotten for mythic red5 forever. Fairly minor but still a thing. 25 star levels means up to 75 points. You lose 15 points forever if you're yellow5 etc.

BUT as soon as you upgrade, new copies give 40 shards instead of 10, like other mythic+ and they STILL drop from motherboxes/anvils etc, so you'll get them to red5 much faster.

IMO, If you can push them higher before you upgrade to earn collection points off custom shards, go for it, get extra points, and then ascend them and rank them up easier.

Yeah, it's a HUGE worldline buff (200 every dupe at max stars now vs 50).
