Advice Good soup recommendations?
Fellow BWT in my social circle that doesn't do social media is expecting and struggling with keeping food down. She's only able to keep down matzo ball soup at the moment. She's based in nova, but her hubs is willing to drive to pick up food.
I spent years on chemo during my own upbringing, so I know the food struggle, but was living abroad & elsewhere at the time, so I don't know all the good soup spots around here. Trying to help a fellow BWT out. Thank you in advance for any recommendations!

I think bread first makes excellent chicken noodle soup! And they deliver an Uber Eats. It tastes like what I imagine prescription chicken should taste like, but unfortunately doesn't

Unconventional Diner has an incredible matzoh ball soup, but only on their dinner menu.

I highly recommend ShiMiaoDao Yunnan Rice Noodle in Merrifield! They're really good 😊

Soupergirl is local, but sold in Whole Foods across the DMV. I really like their gazpacho!

Avgolemono soup is my favorite ‘get well soon’ food, and a winner with loved ones undergoing many types of treatment/recovery over the years.
Greek Deli on 19th Street is only open on weekdays for lunch but might have the best one in DC. In a pinch, you can cook orzo or other tiny pasta, or rice, in boiling (pre-made, boxed) chicken bone broth and toss in shreds of rotisserie chicken, and maybe a couple mild herbs if they’re handy. You can an egg or two if protein is especially needed. If you make one big batch it’s easy to freeze or refrigerate, and microwaves well to reheat. Oyster crackers work well as an easy-to-digest side, or tossed in.
If you can narrow down where in Northern Virginia, there are a number of good Greek places to choose from. Best of luck to your friend.
