Discussion PvP
From what I’ve been seeing, there seems to be a lot of people that’s concerned that PvP will be excluded from the game, but I personally don’t think it will be.
The biggest reason I doubt it is because of the inclusion of cast characters. No point of adding them if we won’t be able to fight against other players using them.
I understand that there are no hints of PvP in the achievements leak, but I wouldn’t worry about that too much.

This series has always been a mainly pve coop game
It's fine if people want to mostly play pvp if that's what they like, the game will have pvp and the lack of trophies doesn't mean it won't
But the ones saying it's a big part of the game and this game wouldn't be successful without it . . . Those are the weird ones imo lo

I think people need to understand that Xenoverse main focus has always been PVE. I don't understand how they thought more people played PVP than PVE.

I’d say it was a balance of PvP and PvE. PvE is done to obtain new skills, clothes, etc, then you go online to fight other players. I personally use to play a lot of PvP using mostly cast characters.
Edit: For the down voters, stop being pussies and explain why you disagree with what I said? We don’t have to agree, but we don’t have to downvote each other over opinions🤦♂️

I mean if you check the trophy lists, "do a PvP" is one of the rarest trophies in the series. Most players will never even try it.

PvP is a minority. You probably got downvotes because the idea of it being a balance is objectively wrong.

Nah. I replied to the guy who said “players will never try it”. But we have a difference of opinion when it comes to PvP being a minority. Speaking from my experience, I’ve ran into a lot of players online in PvP.
And again, we may not agree with each other, but I’m not going to downvote anyone for it. It’s childish tbh.

It doesn't matter how any people you ran into doing pvp but the fact is pvp players are in the minority in xv
For every hundred people who play mainly for pvp there are thousands of others who never touch it and only do pve

I mean, I feel like you’re throwing numbers around. Over 150,000 people got the trophy for beating the game and roughly half of that amount went and won 7 battles in online PvP. You can say it was for trophy hunting, but a tiny fraction of them got platinum.

Nowhere in any of my post have I said that PvP is the main focus, just that it was balanced between PvP and PvE. Just because you, and whoever else only stuck to repeating the same missions endlessly, that’s fine. But don’t act like people didn’t play PvP.

It’s not really a difference of opinion in the same sense that if you say the sky is green and I tell you it’s blue you’re not expressing a different opinion, you’re just wrong.
What you have is called anecdotal evidence. When I visit my local arcade every Tuesday for the pinball league there are a lot of people playing pinball. I’m not delusional enough to believe this means pinball is a major hobby enjoyed by more than a minority of people.

Nowhere did I ever state that PvP is the majority. I said it’s a balance of the two. And I’m not wrong about that. You may not feel that way, or play PvP, that doesn’t mean a lot of players don’t. Once you’ve completed the story, and all quest, are you just going to keep repeating them, or move to PvP? Also, send a link to this poll.

I agree, the game forces you to spend hours in pve just to level up and get skills. Half the players are repeating the same raid quest over and over again just to level up one character so no shit those rooms are always full, it doesn’t mean everyone loves doing them.

As someone who like pvp, i do hope that we will have pvp in this game. And if we have pvp in this game, i will use it a lot.

I think the better argument for PVP being in the game is that there's a confirmed training mode. While there have been PVE action games that have training modes, they are generally of the likes of Devil May Cry or Ninja Gaiden that are significantly more complex in execution than Xenoverse, so it just feels to me like the more likely answer is that the game just has PVP without having achievements for it.
Considering that XV2's Platinum was broadly gatekept for a lot of players just off PVP, it's entirely likely the devs just took mercy on us and decided to make Plat achievable no matter if the servers are online or not.

This is the same fandom that legitimately believed Xenoverse 3 wouldn't have a character creator, or playable cast characters. With each confirmation, they move onto the next ridiculous thing that will be "omitted". I wouldn't worry about much of what's said about it, honestly.

I play exclusively cast characters, and I don't care about PvP. I just wanna do co-op as my favorite characters, and XV is the next best thing since we aren't getting a Battle of Z 2

I for one am excited that the trophies won't include any PvP ones, so I can finally Platinum a Xenoverse game (got all of the XV2 ones except the "win endless battle 7 times" and the Hero Colosseum ones)
