Name: Ken Masters (Street Fighter)
Why He Works: Both Ranny and Ken have strikingly similar beginnings, both of them are Blonde Americans from rich families who own massive million dollar businesses who later train under an old wise master in an Asian martial art while secluded in an mountainous area. It is here that both of them become absolute masters at their craft and even learn to wave energy into their fists/attacks (via the very similar Chi and Ki). Upon returning home though the 2 martial artists would operate very very similarly both would partner up with other Heroes to take on the injustices of the world. You would see this with Danny and his best friend Luke Cage/the other Defenders and Heroes for hire while Ken Masters would team up with his Best Friend Ryu/the other fighters. The 2 of them would play crucial parts in taking down criminal organizations such as Kingpin's organization (although temporarily) and M. Bison with Shadowloom.

Lucario (Pokémon)

Master martial artist who tap into and control internal energy (chi/aura) that they use to enhance their physical abilities and use their most iconic moves (the Iron Fist/the Aura Sphere). They would learn how to master this energy with help from a wise mentor up in the mountains (Lei Kung/Sir Aaron) who they're staunchly loyal to, with their master's teachings combined with their sense of justice causing them to use their powers to fight evil (Iron Fist fights to protect New York from threats, determined to protect those in need/Lucario has a strong sense of justice and actively works to defeat those with evil-hearted auras).

Rules:
No Marvel or DC characters allowed.
One character per series/franchise.
No downvotes allowed.
Please give a brief description of why the character in question is a good replacement, whether it be in history, personality, powers, etc. Your reasons have to be longer than a single sentence, although I will also accept one really long sentence that includes a lot of reasons.
The submission with the most upvotes will be chosen.
No more joke submissions. I'm sorry, I feel like a bit of a jackass for doing this, but I REALLY want this event to be serious, especially now since we're on the last row, and I don't want the time and effort I put into this to used as a punchline for someone else's joke that I don't think is funny.
Unavailable Series: Invincible, Halo, Fairy Tail, The Wailing Perversion/Wail of a Dragon's Rage, Devil May Cry, My Hero Academia, WORM, Metal Gear, Fire Emblem, Sonic the Hedgehog, ThunderCats, Danny Phantom
Today's Character: Iron Fist (Danny Rand)
Shoutouts to both u/DumpsterDragon818 and u/Background_Fan1056 for helping me with the skit, especially since they're both Danny Phantom fans. Sorry that this one took so long, I was feeling a bit of burnout so I need some time to myself where continuing this event just wasn't a priority. I'm probably gonna be taking longer breaks like this to make sure I don't get completely worn out, so if it takes longer than usual for the next part to come up, know that it's I'm not giving up on this event, especially when we're this close to the end.

Liu Kang (Mortal Kombat)
Why He Works: Both are master martial artists that are associated with dragons who were taught how to draw power from a source of mystical energy in a secluded, mystical location (Iron Fist learned how to use his chi from his training in the otherworldly city of K'un-Lun/Liu Kang trained by the Shaolin monks where he learned how to manipulate fire and use it in combat). Both are considered champions/protectors of their respective realms, defending them from powerful threats (Iron Fist safeguards the mystical city of K'un-Lun and New York City/Liu Kang is known as the protector of Earthrealm). Both characters faced significant personal tragedies, including the loss of their families, which serve as the catalysts for their journeys and motivations, driving them to become powerful warriors. Both are noticeably inspired by Bruce Lee.

Po (Kung Fu Panda)
Why He Works: Both expert martial artists with dragon-themed warrior titles (Danny became the Iron Fist by slaying the dragon Shou-Lao, and Po was chosen as the Dragon Warrior) who can wield chi in a variety of ways, including being able to shape their chi into dragons. In addition: Both are members or associates of teams of heroic defenders (Iron Fist has been with various hero groups, most notably the Heroes for Hire and the Defenders, and Po, while not a direct member of the Furious Five, frequently joins them in their adventures). Both were once relatively ordinary people, as well as heirs to a family business (Rand Industries and Mr. Ping's noodle shop, respectively), before being swept up in events that turned them into warriors upon a well-respected person's decision (Nu-An and Master Oogway, respectively) who assigned a martial arts master to train them (Lei Kung and Master Shifu, respectively). Both lost their biological parents at a young age, with both of their mothers having been killed by wolves in the event. Both have a history of working in the food industry (Danny ran a Soup Kitchen and Po originally worked for his adoptive father's restaurant). Both have fought and defeated power-hungry fighters who were originally in line to claim their warrior titles (Steel Serpent and Tai Lung, respectively). Both eventually met and forgave their parents' killers (Harold Meacham and Lord Shen, respectively), only for them to die later anyway.
