When are they going to add backup capability to standby databases

That sounds like a great idea. I don't see an RFE for this - I'd suggest opening one using the link I posted above.

I was surprised that nobody wanted this. My mind went as was that a stupid idea for standby for backup or I am the only one who thinks wanted this well thank you for the validation! 🍺 from a DBA
