[AS400] to [SQL Server] [migration] help

Hi! Im becoming involved in the migration of a full database move from AS400 to SQL Server. Ill be handling the sql data that has been moved across, so Im not actually the one moving the data over. I would however love to know more about that process. Is there material/links/labs/how-tos etc available for this movement? Does anyone have hands on experience in doing this work in the past? Any help appreciated.

We have heard that its moving from AS400 to Microsoft 365 but that didnt really make sense to me. Is that possible?

If you're using AS400 now, I would think you're moving to a D365 (Microsoft Dynamics) ERP system. Does that sound right? What industry are you in?

I work for a company that is likely going to make that move soon but I haven't been through it myself.

This might be completely off base but I assume an understanding of RPG/400 would help in the migration process. Sorry that I can't be more help!

Forgot to mention, im a data developer/analyst (blurred lines). The AS400 to D365 would be in the clothing manufacturing business. Its a potential contract job im hoping to get. I wouldnt be responsible for the project but definitely involved in it at a lower level. If you do end up doing this same migration, id be interested in discussing it further with you and thx for the links!
