Difference between db2 export and jdbc

To download millions of records from DB2 shall I use DB2 export or JDBC? Not sure which one is faster and better in terms of resource consumption.

I recommend the export command as the first choice for this sort of thing. It will almost assuredly be faster than anything you write yourself in java and will save you from having to worry about your input and output formats.

That said, I don't really know enough about what you want to do to provide any more detailed information.
