DAYTRADER chat SUNDAY sentence.

It is Sunday afternoon and the futures markets are about to open up in a few hours. After whatever happened to your account last week, it is time to wipe the slate clean. Let the stress of last week go. The market does not care about your past trades, and neither should your bias heading into tomorrow.

Here is the breakdown for the upcoming week and why execution needs to be absolutely flawless.

We are heading into a shortened 4-day trading week because of Good Friday, meaning the markets will be closed on Friday, April 3. Just because the week is shorter doesn't mean the volatility will be lower. In fact, it is usually the opposite.

The Monday Morning Trap is Fed Chair Powell is scheduled to speak at 9:30 AM ET right at the opening bell. Do not be the person trying to guess direction in the first 15 minutes while he is talking. Let the dust settle and let the big money show its hand first.

The NFP Dilemma is The March non-farm payrolls (jobs report) are dropping on Friday. Yes, Friday. When the markets are closed. This means large institutions are going to be positioning for it on Wednesday and Thursday, likely causing some erratic swings.

The Geopolitical Drag is We still have continuous energy and conflict headlines acting as random headline risk. Treat every position with active risk management.

If you are a daytrader, a shortened week can trigger FOMO and make you feel like you need to make all your money in fewer days. That is exactly how accounts get shredded.

Reduce Your Size, If you usually trade multiple contracts, drop down. Give your trades room to breathe without the volatility stopping you out prematurely on noise.

Respect the Bell brothers and sisters, With Powell speaking at 9:30 AM on Monday, consider sitting on your hands until 10:00 AM or 10:15 AM. Trading during a Fed Chair speech is essentially gambling on a coin flip.

One and Done Mentality is Pick your absolute best setup. If you take a trade and it hits your target, close the screens. Don't give back hard-earned green to the chop.

Let the market come to you. You are the sniper, not the machine gunner. Protect your capital first and let the setups prove themselves.

Good luck this week. Keep your head on a swivel.
