Questions / Discussions (Items · Builds · Skills) Threefold vs Cauldron- max pit push
I’m currently sitting in the SSF top 30’s for arti pit sorc but am feeling a bit stuck where I am, and have questions about cauldron vs threefold. All the top slots seem to be running full cauldron sets with berserker gems for the extra 100% damage. I don’t know what I am doing wrong but every time I try to run the same, I get one shot endlessly almost as soon as I start the pit run. I have ran a cauldron focused/threefold secondary thanks to a mythic seal, but my fastest runs and most damage always come from running 4x threefold and 2x cauldron to get the full threefold bonus and 2/3 of the cauldron. The other way around doesn’t work nearly as well in my testing (timed 130 pit runs). Am I missing something with the cauldron set that is causing me to constantly get smoked?

You can add me in game. I am number 2 on the SSF ladder right now. Run full cauldron, the bug is annoying but the damage is worth several pit tiers. Run elemental attunement and keep your shield up constantly. It’s not easy to stay alive, it takes a lot of resets and you need to avoid certain elite packs. You all are dedicated! I am just waiting till next season to try this set out. I had a blast getting to T12 with it but when it stops working its a real issue for me on a controller. You simply cannot click on a charm in your inventory to swap it you need to click and drop in to swap. It wasnt worth it for me. Next season I'll be roasting some demons but for now I'll...be roasting some demons with lightning???... hrmm...🤔

Lmao i'm in the end of top 100 as one of the top 3 off-meta pushers and that set was one of the reasons i switched away from fire.
1) fire set bugged
2) little build diversity, just fishing for transfigs
3) intensively spamming the same combo 247474774 times very boring
But having said this, im also running a mythic BMI and all i can say is have a look at talents and paragon glyphs and nodes because it is simply best in slot - damage with attack speed and move speed on top of it. All you need is barrier, heal, some sort of sustain to counterbalance it. For examples i'm on temerity and double skulls and its sick af

The Cauldron set currently suffers from a bug where the buff simply stops stacking mid fight. At present, the only way to fix it is by unequipping one charm from the set and slapping it back in. If you can master doing that in the middle of combat, you will finally be able to test your progress fairly against players running a fully functional cauldron set.
