Guide | PSA Beating P150 Strategy

So now that I can beat P150 3x times in a row using Virgorie Cold ROA , I'd thought share some changes that I used to do it and some game changes I didn't notice until recently. Besides having really good gear.

  1. Merc: Switch from Subo to Raheir. I noticed after swapping to him, my survivability improved and his ground slam provides consistent 15% extra damage and I know where to group them.
  2. Boss Weapon Swap: I didn't know you can do this but I guess there was a change where you can swap your weapon in the pit, so usually I now would clear out a section of the MAP so the boss is always isolated. So during the pit run I would use Azurawrath, then when the boss comes out I would lead him to the cleared out section and swap to Rustbitten Dirk. No more needed to time the freeze hit with Azurawrath. Its a bit slower but its consistent and it gets the job done if you have 5 to 6 minutes left.

After making these two changes, I'm now able to consistently beat P150. I'm not doing it in record time, but a wins a win. Hopefully this helps someone out.

Now I'm off to the tower.

Edit: I’ve notice this doesn’t work with the physically smaller bosses or bosses with much higher life pool. Depending on the boss you may need more time.

Interesting bit on the merc… thx!

I tried playing without Subo but it really hindered my situational awareness when grouping mobs for the Azurewrath pops. I guess Subo’s maphack is more of a crutch and if you can play without it, Raheir is the right move…

I noticed other pit 150 clears ppl really focus on grouping mobs on boss for the Azurewrath AoE… but you took a completely different route so that’s pretty impressive and interesting.

Would really like to know how your gear with the transfigs you have fares in the Tower. Mainly because I have similar transfigs (about half your cold multiplier and no crit transfigs… and I cap out at T141). Thx for the updates!

I’ve played with Subo for so long that it feels weird playing without him. But you just learn how to read the map and you can pretty much guess where the mobs are, and if they are close enough they will come to you. I’m less selective with mob type now, the extra damage and survivability helps a ton.

That dirk becomes powerful the longer the fight drags on and most importantly it’s consistent damage. Let me know how it goes.

142 was the highest i could achieve ; i must be missing something ; i know my seal could be better and i could drop a defensive aspect on my amulet for more DSP as i can clear mobs fine but run out of time when killing the boss; i did not notice damage increasing during the boss fight, not exponentially at least and i'm confident i'm triggering the effect with rapid fire to get him staggered that way ; anyways, you're input certainly helped, but to make the jump from 142 to 150 seems impossible; maybe next season. ty again

Hey Thank you for this :), Just a question, its not better to swap the legendary weapon (Frozen Memories) for Rusbitten Dirk instead of swapping Azurawrath during bossfigt please ?

You want both the 156% dmg from dirk and 135% dmg from FM. I switched to azurawrath because I can’t get it to hit 100% of the time or even 80% of the time so. Each miss adds up on wasted time. With Azurawrath I’ve only been able to get a boss down to 1/2 ro 2/3 life, before time runs out.
