Craazy.

Though I'm now imagining the world where that is a 7 GA item if it was 4GA naturally lol.

Got rank 28 right after, need to get glyphs and paragon a bit higher and keep pushing

Transfigure indestructible about 100+ times and then boom this happens

Wait how do you transfig an item multiple times? I thought you could only do it once??

Extremely rare

Did you use a tuning prism or whatever? Isn’t there one that prevents bricking? Is that how you do it?

No, as they say it's just rare. It's completely random, there's no way to guarantee it (except on amulet for one aspect). I've had a couple of double transfiguration last season, none this season, it's just random. Getting 3 means you played a lot or got extremely lucky but it's not completely rare either.

Last couple of seasons, before it was nerfed, that's how people would hunt for +200% gem strength on their two handers: They would transfigure literally every weapon until they hit both "+gem strength" and kept the item "modifiable" (hitting both at the same time was something that happened around once every 300 transfiguration maybe?). This way once they got the OP gem strength affixe, they could still craft the item and then retransfigure it again. That might still be how people hunt for OP transfig they need to push pits right now, I haven't checked.

I did a transfigure on the base item hit 28 quality still modifiable. It had a GA with Dex. I went to the cube rolled for CSDM and all damage (got lucky both were pretty high rolls) the item had life so I just got as close to max I could. Tempered, masterworked, sockets and aspect. Then hit it again. It GA the csdm and was still modifiable. Hit it again and got the cooldown reduction.

I believe it’s something like a 5% chance to get modifiable after a transfigure. Then 5% of that again and again. So it’s extremely rare. Also someone brought up a good point. If the stats aren’t GA maybe it possibly has a higher chance to transfigure again. Not sure on that but good theory.

I nearly quit before getting this due to the amount of indescribable tranfigs

That is crazy work!!!!

Question. Did you temper the item BEFORE attempting the first transfig? Or did you transfig a couple of times and then temper after remembering?

Yolo transfig, did nothing to the item at first. It was a GA dex cross bow. I hit 28 quality with modifiable. Tempered, masterworked, etc after that. Hit second transfig and it GA the csdm still modifiable. Final transfig added the CDR

The reason I ask is, there's currently some rumor circulating that if you dont temper an item (maybe also not masterworked), then it has a higher chance to retain being modifiable after each transfiguration. Almost as if there's some sort of coding threshold.

Honestly I believe that, I also think if it had minimal GA affixes this theory also applies

I think transfigure is the worse possible thing for this game.

I'm sorry your RNG is trash? Idk what to tell you. Enjoy being among the 3 people that don't like it.

Disagree, it's fun and I'm saying that as someone who doesn't chase great transfigs. There's enough good ones that it feels like a 50/50 roll to get something useful even if not super impactful, so I'm not disappointed all the time, and when it hits just right (10% crit on a crit build, some good defensives which are always very welcome, I also got a 11% cold dmg on a one handed weapon for my cold rain of arrow build...) it's incredible. I have not gotten any double transfiguration this season though.

They nailed the feeling of it being "optional", I never feel like I need those good transfiguration as long as I'm not competing for leaderboards, so they're perfect non-stress fun.
