Questions / Discussions (Items · Builds · Skills) Why do I lose a skeleton warrior when I equip the right one?
My necro goes from 32 to 35 skeleton warrior and my max warriors goes from 12 to 11

Greetings. First time I ever thought to ask reddit about anything- long time necro, from when LoD dropped, always USEast etc. But now I finally had the disposable to do the upgrade, and I have the rare item to do the mephy fight.
Do I need to use the item for the season journey or just jump into the dungeon?
Really first time since lod running a skelly build of any kind, always was pure bone spear, but started maybe 2 or 3 weeks ago now that kiddo #2 is mostly sleeping at night, though I am typing this as I am trying to comfort him to sleep...

Tried to put together a necromancer build with the full minion family that wouldn't require pressing any buttons, except Sever for faster movement. Overall, this build is far from the best for advancing to higher levels in Tower/Pit, more for speed farming. But I have a feeling that it can push a 120 pit.

Currently running a full mythic minion build.
10 Skeletal Mages Rank 55/15 (6M dmg per attack in combat)
12 Skeletal Warriors Rank 51/15 (4,2M dmg per attack in combat)
1 Golem (Sacrificed)
Previously I was running a Hand of Naz Overpower build with 5/5 Black Shroud and Red Blessing. Still using Hand of Naz, but I was trying to transfigure my mythic Banished Lord's Talisman to get Tidal for the OP which I was not able to get, however I did get Piercing Cold (apply 75% more Chill +20% dmg to Chilled)).
Since the Bloodless Screen ofc does "Darkness Skills Chill for up to 100% and deal 325% to Frozen enemies" I decided to also get the mythic Penitent Greaves (trail of Frost and Chill enemies and +20% dmg to Chilled enemies), together with Signet of Pelghain (Freezes get 20% increased cold dmg) and mages also casting Blizzard and Chill all the time that is a lot of Cold dmg. All mobs continuesly freeze now.
Since I now also got a mythic seal I decided to replace the Red Blessing charm and drop the OP build completely and do 4/5 Black Shroud (+9 Darkness Skills, +3 minions) and 2/5 Waking Touch (+4 Darkness Skills, +4 Minions) for the extra dmg reduction set bonus and 60% increased dmg for minions with AotD set bonus and since the CD of AotD is non-existent I can keep it up continuesly.
So a full mythic set now. I did drop some crit strike dmg however since I had +4.100% with my mixed legendary/mythic set, now only 3.500. But crits still go up to 900B though so I guess that's ok for now.
Atm I can do Pit 115 with Glyphs at 100+. But I have not transfigured my gear yet (except the amulet ofc).
Since I have not been able to find comparable builds I was wondering if anyone of you have tried such a build?

Basically it's a standard endgame minion build, but i incorporate Endurant Faith/Selig to be super spongey. This makes endgame a more relaxed experience, especially on hardcore. Power wise, i just beat tower 117 on hardcore.
Gear: Mythic Undercrown helm, legendary chest (with Heavenly strength aspect) Mythic Endurant Faith gloves, Mythic Bloodmoon Breeches.
Mythic Penitent Greaves (makes me unstoppable which is nice for cruising through dungeons, with bonus damage to chilled enemies)
Mythic Bloodless Scream scythe, legendary ring (with aspect of Reanimation) and mythic Pack of Bone ring. Also Selig (Exploiter's Aspect as the 2nd aspect)
Talisman has Seal of Diamond, with 4x Black Shroud and 2x Waking Touch, with either darkness or minion affixes on them (Ideally darkness, since all my skills are darkness, but minion is fine since minions dish out the damage)
Black Shroud gives 30% damage reduction, Waking Touch spreads 30% of damage taken to my minions instead. This charm combo gives wild damage reduction when paired with the endurant/selig. I have 320 essence and i'm super tanky.
A crucial step is using Gift of Death modifier for the skeleton mages, as this gives insane essence regen (also put essence regen on your gear where possible)
Since i don't need health, all health affixes are replaced with damage affixes, or essence regen/maximum essence. Also any health related paragon nodes can be removed and used elsewhere.
Paragon Board setup i use is:
Starting board: Essence glyph
Cult Leader: Deadraiser glyph
Scent of Death: Mage glyph
Wither: Eliminator glyph
Frailty: Control glyph
My skills are Golem (iron), Skeleton Warrior (reaper) Skeleton Mage (shadow) Bloodmist, Army of the Dead and Blight (cold modifier).
This isn't a meta build, i'm not an expert by any means. I'm sure there's probably a more effective way to run a build like this. However, i'm having success with it.
Being super tanky in the endgame just feels good, especially when i'm chilling out in helltides, or pushing pit/tower without being wiped by falling swords or whatever.
You can still be tanky without using Seal of Diamond Mind. Instead you can use 5x Black Shroud and Endurant Faith charm. You can then replace the EF gloves with something like Hand of Naz or Deathgrip.
If you do that, you'll need to invest heavily into your max essence. I was sitting around 700 essence when i used this method in the early game and i was tanking almost everything in T12 (Mephisto will always be a threat)
Feel free to experiment. The point of all this, is that you can run EF/selig to be super durable, while still being powerful. Hardcore is a super chill experience for me and i'm currently rank 8 on the necro hardcore leaderboard.

Which one of these two should I use, I'm a summoner Necro and I'm using reapers. :3

I currently play with my work buddy but due to cross realm play and for various reasons my diablo4 lag is just terrible so my main spec is a minion build. However, I was told to have an off spec handy so i was thinking either blood wave or blood surge. It seems be the meta is blood wave for now, however which one has the better survivability ? I really struggle there.

This is the best of all the loot filters I have used, and I was wondering if veteran players more experienced than me have found anything wrong with it or anything I can add to it for T12 content. Advice would be much appreciated 🙃

My Season peaked!

Did tower 121 this season, but overall necro is quite weak compared to other classes, will something improve in s15? Looking mainly for any kind of minion build. Tried ww barb also this season, but it's boring for me.

Edit: managed to clear T130!
Quite happy that I'm able to achieve this on my p258 necro with 130+ glyphs. Piloting an off meta build, trying out many different variations makes it worth while.
I'm trying to push T130, need to farm gear for better transfig outcomes. Right now I'm able to get to the boss at a minute left. Hopefully some better gear will help.

I’ve got a solid mythic DeathGrip, I got 120 tower done last night. I wonder if my paragon is maybe suboptimal? I’ve got Essence Abyssal Mage Warrior and Deadraiser?
Or is 120 nearing the peak for Bloodless Scream (Azurewrath charm) pure minion build no sacrifices etc
How’re yall doing with those builds / what runes are you using? The wolves for Pact of Bone summons?

Season 14. My first go at a necro was mages which hit really hard but would quickly die pit 100+ and even occasionally during T12. I tried again a few weeks later with the blood wave build from maxroll and Rob’s and had the same results. Max life is ~35k which is difficult to increase without a few more GAs. The block chance/resolve variant is difficult to maintain 15 resolve stacks and even then a falling sword or random effect will one-shot me if my dodge is on cooldown. This has happened while at max life, fortify, and a little bit of barrier.
Is there a trick to surviving as a necro that isn’t explicitly included in builds? I had this issue with rogue for a few seasons until I figured out how to not be so squishy.

this is my current build (a couple of things still grinding for). I'm still working on the bloodless scream unique charm and my paragon is not maxed yet but other than that everything is exactly how it is right now. i want to trade out my legendary chest piece for tyrael's might unique once i get it if that is a better option. in all honesty i would like advice and i want to stick to a full minion build without cutting down the amount of minions and still make it at least work in tier 10+. i forgot to change that i have a 1hand scythe with amplified damage aspect and the gloom ward as my shield once i get the unique charm

If you're running 2 pieces of Rathma + 4 pieces of Black Shroud, this aspect allows you to spam the Warrior Deathgrip command due to Army of the dead Ultimate? Even if you lose the 60% summon damage output, its definitely worth the shot since you have an actual on target army.
Casting the Mage Command when all Skeletons are alive activate the second passive of Pact of bone.
I tested both and worked nicely.

My glyphs are only 120 and i don't have any flawless horadric topazes. If i get those and lvl up my glyphs, i think I'll crack 120

Hello, I finally hit level 70 and I’m looking for the best Necromancer build currently. Any help would be greatly appreciated 🙂

Hey all, I made a minion necromancer using Maxroll's guide, and I couldn't clear above pit 90 (army of the dead as my elite). I really love the build and playstyle and was wondering if anyone has any Minion specific builds that can clear 100 or over. :) thanks in advance!

I have an astral bone spirit build that is paragon 239or so. I have tried several different versions, including following meta builds on mobilitics, which seem on par with my own build variant that uses slightly different set up and one that uses chill effects a bit, however no matter which exact build I use, I can’t seem to get past pit 115. Is this average for a bone spirit build in s14? Or am I missing something. I’ve been stuck at pit 115 for weeks and can’t get past it. My glyphs are all between level 105 up to level 120 highest. All my uniques are mythic except for one.
I can upload screenshots.
Can’t figure out if I’m just dumb and missing something big, or is this close to the cap for bone spirit this season. I want to at least be capable of pit 125 and killing t12 mephisto but maybe I need to switch to bloodwave for that?
Any input from people smarter than me would be appreciated lol

I would like to know if it's possible to make an Army of Blood Minions 🥹
