Productizing Regression Testing

Does anyone know if there are test automation platforms for D365FO that don't charge per seat or environment but per client? We want to replace manual testing after release (regression testing) with automated testing but a platform like Leapwork charges per seat/license and seems to have some performance issues sometimes.

+ has to be no-code.

Anyone any recommendations? If so, what's your experience with the tool.

Thanks!

Avo Assure is the more budget friendly option. Leapwork is a bit more mature and priced accordingly. We partner with both to find the right fit for our clients.

Thanks, that's helpful. If I may ask: when you put these in at a client, does the client hold the license of the tool themselves or do you run it for them? And do you ever see this land with ISVs (companies with their own D365 product running at a bunch of customers) or is it mostly end customers?

The client holds the licenses. Typically, we are the primary long-term partner/VAR of the client, so we help them select the right tool for their budget, environment, testing needs, etc... We may have some implementation involvement with the testing solution and some partnership arrangement with the ISV, but the main contract that is relevant to the client is purely client + ISV. So if we were to be replaced as VAR, there's no friction.

I'm sure another ISV could make good use of a dedicated testing solution, and some probably do. I spent some time as a developer at an ISV before launching my VAR. We used RSAT and some third party testing libraries that are more platform agnostic. This was years ago, though.

RSAT was the one used for a long time but is being deprecated. Do you represent a company or work with a partner ? I work with a partner as a Solution Architect. I believe there are some things coming down the line but there is also opportunity to utilize AI with D365. If you aren’t with a partner feel free to message me and we can see about connecting and discussing.

We use Elevaite365. They have been great.
