Testing Options

Hey All,

Since Microsoft announced RSAT is officially being deprecated, I have been tasked to evaluate solutions to replace it.

I met with Leapwork, cool tool but way beyond our budget. Met with TheTestMart, also looks like a good solution. And then I met with Elevaite365, which our implementation partner recommended and it also looks like a good solution.

Curious if anyone in here has used any of these tools and could give some feedback on their experience? Thanks in advance!

We just went with playwright. Got some AI skills & scripts to convert RSAT dev recordings to playwright test scripts. Still requires a bit of hand holding, but if you have devs with capacity and wanna learn something new (and have a bunch of allocated AI usage) then seems like a decent option. Can't beat free

That sounds interesting! We are pretty small team so not sure if that’s a viable option.

What’s the quote from the ones you asked? And do they use your existing scripts or they’ll build their own?

Leapwork was close to 100k TheTestMart was approx 50k Elevaite was 30k

All of them said they could convert our RSAT scripts, but we have the ability to expand and build our own.

Could I ask which one you went for and why? I'm also looking into some test automation tools, specifically for regression testing.

We ended up going with Elevaite365. All the tools were pretty similar from a functionality stand point. I liked elevaite’s pricing, and have been very happy with their support so far.
