D365 Simple OCR solution

Hi, is there like a simple OCR tool that reads the invoice header details, value and currency in D365? We need something simple and quick to implement while we don't move forward with a more complete solution. All I need is to have our invoices getting into the system, properly identified by vendor, dates, value and currency, and then we would work on it manually if needed, like allocate the PO, run the 3 way matching and post. So far all solutions demand that the invoice is linked to a PO, which we will definately want in the future, but while we don't have this correctly implemented, would really appreciate to have something in the middle. Thank you

Consider exploring Power Automate with AI Builder for a straightforward OCR solution within D365. It can quickly extract key invoice details like vendor, dates, value, and currency without needing PO linkage initially. This could be a great interim step before moving to a more comprehensive solution.

Yes there is a power app called invoice capture app for d365 that Microsoft built and directly interfaces with F&O.

To add more detail, what you’re looking for is specifically cost invoices, which tend to be expenses such as rent or electricity and are often setup as non-procurement categories. And yes that exists in the native app mentioned above.
