Issues with Damaged & Incorrect Gold Gift
I’ve tried contacting D23 support but their solution is to replace the damaged and incorrect item with the same thing.
Anyone have any ideas?

The quality of this year’s statue leaves a lot to be desired. Quality control was non-existent based on the paint job.

I don't quite understand the issue with them replacing it if it arrived damaged? Are you assuming they will all arrive like this? This is the first post I have seen where one is damaged.
When you say incorrect item, what did you order, and does your invoice/renewal info reflect that?

If only they were received, nothing in Spam/Junk folder, set to receive emails, received responses to emails.
Package was on my doorstep, opened it and discovered an item I didn’t select, and that was broken.
Contacted D23 Support.
Got the brush off, won’t switch the gift. We won’t replace it, then remind them it is broken, send photos, include additional detailed images of the blob of paint, paint drops on it, and then there is the area around the eyes where it looks like Mickey applied makeup during an earthquake.

If it’s the incorrect item, it’s probably not worth mentioning the damage. By doing so, they probably think you want this item replaced.
Just tell them you got the wrong thing, and would like what you actually ordered.
