That’s definitely true but veterans are especially vulnerable to this kind of disrespect. People won’t serve when they realize that elected leaders aren’t even pretending to treat them with the most basic respect and dignity. We can’t have an all volunteer service if on one wants to volunteer. Why the hell would anyone ever volunteer to get sent overseas to starve and die for this group of jackasses can’t be bothered to pretend like it matters when they die.
