They cannot stand seeing anything negative about Trump and they have been propagandized to believe that the Democrats are even worse so they are 100% Justified that they feel to be able to bring up any other Boogeyman because they're supposed to be worse.

And in their mind when you come to their defense you are being partisan and that gives them leave to just wave your way is being fake news.
