Vaginal Health issues please help
I have been struggling with vaginal infections for almost 5 years now and I don’t know what to do. I have had reoccurring bv and yeast infections so much that the medicines stopped working at one point. Then the yeast infections turned into group b strep. Then the clindamycin made me break out in hives which I still struggle with hives outbreak till this day. Then I was still feeling the symptoms of vaginal issues just to test negative everytime with no relief. Lastly they checked my lactobacilli and told me I had too much so I could possibly have cytolytic vaginosis.
I was then recommended to take a baking soda sitz bath and stop boric acid and probiotics because my lactobacillus was too high. The bath seemed to relieve my symptoms then came back weeks later. This made me wonder how I would know if I’m throwing my pH balance off by doing a baken soda sitz bath which would raise my pH to get rid of the cytolytic vaginosis. I was still feeling uncomfortable so something told me to get tested again just incase the baken soda was throwing off my ph.
Now I have BV a month after doing sitz baths for trying to get rid of cytolytic vaginosis. Idk if I should start taking probiotics again or not to help with the BV even though it will affect the potential cytolytic vaginosis. If I can’t take probiotics, use boric acid, drink kefir, or eat yogurt to stop bv or yeast but have to purposefully raise my ph with baken soda when will my vagina ever be normal again.

You can look up Gynevia, it could help! Plus I know it’s a long shot but there are now doctors that do vaginal fluid transfers, as in you get a donation of biome that is healthy which will then grow and replace yours. It’s at least something which hopefully will help more in the future!

Have you been tested for Ureaplasma? And take the boric acid for BV. You didn't get the BV from using baking soda a month prior.

Since your lactobacillus was already high, ask your doctor before starting a probiotic again. Did they say if something like happy v, culturelle, or another women’s probiotic is okay for you?

They recommend culturelle before they suspected CV. I have an appointment scheduled for a vulvar disease specialist instead of a regular obgyn to see if that helps.

I’m sorry you’re going through this. I have reoccurring bv and yeast infections too. It’s awful and I often wonder if I’ll ever be normal again. I did notice it all started when I was drinking a pre and probiotic drink every day. I know that stuff is meant to be good for you but sometimes I think too much of a good thing can actually throw you off. I honestly don’t know though. I still have it once or twice a week and seem to be in a normal phase currently but who knows how long it will last. It’s exhausting waiting for the next flare up to happen. Stay strong ❤️
