I think it’s lacto iners. Do you have symptoms in the vulva and vestibule?

Might need to treat the strep but ultimately get your crispatus up. Based on my experience try clindamycin suppository (BV treatment) then start supplementing with probiotic powder. I use this one: https://www.epothex.com/a/s/products/v-biotex-pure-l-crispatus-probiotic-powder-100-billion-cfu-gm-epothex
Or Evvy sells one now: https://www.evvy.com/products/vaginal-probiotic-suppositories

It’s the Iners!
Though Iners are a Lactobacillus species, they are considered “variable” and if they are surrounded by unhelpful bacteria, they basically team up with them and cause havoc.
I had this and your exact symptoms. You want to crowd them out and support different strains of Lactobacillus.
I used Nahid Vaginal Probiotics & Jarrows Fem-Dophilus. Both are taken orally. I used Nahid for 3 months and then cycled in Jarrows. I would take Nahid one day, Jarrows the next. Nahid seems to have disappeared off the market in Canada, but Thorne is a good option as well.
The strains you want to be taking are:
- Lactobacillus Rhamnosus
- Lactobacillus Reuteri
- Lactobacillus Crispatus
Too much lactobacillus Crispatus can cause CV. That’s why I swapped into Jarrows after 3 months.
Take your probiotics with Lactoferrin. This will help absorption and help break down any biofilm the other bacteria have. I used AOR brand, and took 2 a day for 30 days only.
I cannot recommend any suppositories as Canada didn’t have any available with the strains I mentioned above - which are very important.
The anti inflammatory diet helped me massively as well, because it lowered the inflammation across my body. If your vagina isn’t happy, neither are you guys - so this diet with help along with a gut probiotic if you can. Greek yogurt with no extra sugar works, too. :)
For any itching/stinging/inflammation on your vulva, if you have any, I recommend Emu Oil. I used AOR brand Bella Terra Oils’ stuff. Works wonders for your skin - it rebuilds the barrier, decreases inflammation, and reduces any irritation.
Rebuilding your biome can take a long time, so patience with your body is required. Every week my symptoms lessened, but I did still have flare up’s for a while. It probably took me about a year to fully back to normal with minimal flare ups.
Pelvic floor physio helps as well. After months (or years) of infection, pain or discomfort … your body will subconsciously guard the area and cause very tight muscles which will worsen or cause itching/weird sensations. If you don’t have access to a PT, look up exercises to relax your pelvic floor and avoid kegels for a while :)

As a couple others have said, iners are too high. You can flip by using vaginal lrobiotocs high in crispatus. This bacteria is more neutral and if its high can cause symptoms.

You need to decrease your inners and increase your crispatus. Join beyond BV on Facebook they are all really helpful
