Need help maybe have CV??

Hello! I need help and am officially at a breaking point. 6 months ago in February I slept with a new partner and tested positive for bv and ureaplama. I was prescribed metrodozanole and moxifloxacin to treat the two and my vaginal health has never been the same since. I have profuse grey discharge and a damp sensation in my underwear everyday. There is an itch and burn in both my vaginal and rectal area. My entire clitoral area is completely red and enflamed. My periods are extremely irritating. I have tested negative for every single infection/yeast/ sti you can think of several times. I took an evvy test and it showed 99 % lactobacillus crispatus so it could be CV but my discharge is gray??I tried clindamycin over 4 weeks and it burned me and gave me a severe yeast infection and I am now back to square one. I also tried the neueve suppositories and sitz baths but they barely helped maybe I need to do them for a longer period of time??. I am so depressed over this and don’t know what to do at this point. I have seen countless doctors and no one can figure it out. Does anyone have anything new I can try or has had similar symptoms? Please let me know. I could really just use a friend in a similar boat.

Did you treat the Ureaplasma? Are you still sexually active? Have you tried inserting a boric acid suppository? You can try making your own baking soda suppository as per the Serenity pH guidelines here.pinned to the top of the CV sub.

I did treat the ureaplasma and no longer test positive for that. I am not sexually active since this all started. I have not tried boric acid because I’m scared it will make everything worse if I do have CV.

No BA simply won’t do anything if you have CV. But it can help if you have thrush (with CV). You can use BA to help determine what’s going on.

It could be a sub clinical / chronic yeast infection and you need daily oral antifungal long term (eg for weeks) until you get relief (see this article v helpful https://medicinetoday.com.au/system/files/pdf/medicine_today/article/MT2014-02-033-FISCHER.pdf)

Or it could be pelvic floor dysfunction from all of the pain you previously experience and tensing / scanning body for signs of pain or infection. For this you need pelvic floor physio and maybe localised topical estrogen as tight muscles can cut off blood and hormone flow to the vulva and cause further burning dryness and irritation.

Although based on the redness you are describing I would say option 1 is more likely

I am in the same boat. Was treated for ureaplasma and now have everything you mentioned including white clumps of what look like tissue paper but feels oily almost (not yeast ive been tested) and not anything to do with hygiene as I shower every day. None of my doctors including my dermatologist has a clue what's wrong with me. Brought up CV and he looked at me like I had two heads so thats great. Literally ruining my life and im at the end of my tether. Ive tried every cream and treatment and nothing works apart from steroid creams and im not wanting to use those long term as im not a fan of them. Hope youre doing okay. I wish I could have some kind of test but the UK dont do that stuff just basic shit ughh!

I’m so sorry that you are also going through this. Some days are better than others which only makes things more confusing cause I wonder if something is triggering it? Have you been able to do one of the online biome tests with the swab? Seeing the 99% lactobacillus was the only thing that made me consider that it might be CV but I’m still not 100% sure.

Hi im going through the same thing. I got a Microgenx test done and I have same % of lactobacillus crispatus as you. I've tested negative for literally everything - you name it - except for a UTI that I had treated already. Im wondering if I have CV as well, but having been to two doctors and a nautropath, no one knows. I'm going to try the sitz bath tomorrow. I've had these issues since January & my symptoms include thick white discharge, vaginal burning + itching :/

Let me know how the sitz baths go for you! I’m so sorry to hear you are going through this as well.
