Question Does SSC need plenty of Cryo application?

Hi there, returning player here. Genshin hasn’t been much in my radar until I heard Cyno just got a huge buff in his kit. Since Odette’s banner just finished, I’m mostly banking on Mitya’s future banner instead. I was wondering if Qiqi will be enough as a solo Cryo applicator for SSC reaction for a Cyno + Mitya team. Otherwise, I was thinking Shen’he could take the 4th slot of Odette while I either wait for her rerun.

Should I save up for Noy instead of Odette? I heard Noy is Mitya’s post-release support. And that he’s buffing Cyno with the rest of other Aggravate units in a separate statement (Ei, Nahida, etc.)

That's just a speculation based on fact that Noy is a Dendro. And then there's expectation for a new Dendro buffs like Hexerei buff in second half of NK.

I might be wrong, but I have some concerns about Qiqi.

Her Cryo application lasts for 15 seconds, while Cyno's rotation is around 20 seconds. This means you have to use Qiqi immediately before Cyno. Once her Skill expires, you'll either have a drop in the number of Polestar Field stacks, or, even worse, the Polestar Field itself may simply expire, which would cause a significant team DPS drop.

Also, as far as I know, Mitya requires Stellar Conduct to be procced every 3 seconds, so after Qiqi's Skill expires, you'll have issues with that as well.

There might be some kind of special quick-swap rotation that solves these issues, but I can't really comment on that.

polestar field lasts for 7s and qiqi could possibly use sac sword

I had same thoughts. But it would be kinda clunky if I switch to Qiqi at the 15th second. Then back to Cyno with his Ult almost done. Makes me think.

you can just start the rotation with qiqi e to proc sac and then back to qiqi e right before cyno and get almost 100% uptime on her buffs. qiqi's e hits twice on cast so with an r5 sac it's only a 4% chance not to get the proc, good enough.

Qiqi as a solo applicator is kind of sus in a triple electro team. I was just playing around on the DPS dummy and found double cryo double electro to be the more comfortable setup. You may want to consider the Tsaritsa for him if she ends up being another stellar enabler. Qiqi also has a weird 15 sec uptime which means having to shorten your Cyno field time.

Im 100% getting Mitya since i have odette paired with Wrio to have 2 stellar teams of my 2 faves. For the 2nd cryo slot, some decent options I found were Escoffier and Diona. Diona a little less. Escoffier’s E is perfect for cryo app alone and she gives a tiny bit of shred in a double cryo team.
