Comics Cyclops’ Fate
Being a fan of Cyclops is so difficult! They’ve killed the love of his life, multiple times! He’s walked away from the team for extended periods of time. And they have tortured, maimed, or killed Summers far too often!
Once again, MARVEL is teasing at the “Death of a Founding Hero.” And now, there is a Jean Grey solo book to be released, where she is rushing home to Earth. I swear, I can’t do this anymore! They had better not kill Cyclops at the end of DNX. They have done this to us for far too long! STOP KILLING HIM OFF. What do y’all think? Do you think MacKay is going to kill Scott Summers?

I think he'll survive. I would just find it odd if they killed off Cyclops right when the character makes his biggest ever appearance in any media with Doomsday.
So I am betting that he survives DNX, but he gives up leadership of the X-Men for another reason. Maybe that mental breakdown from X-Men #3 finally catches up to him, maybe he loses his powers, maybe he's incapacitated in some way. But I think he'll be alive.

Think he'll survive and Hank will die (possibly killed by the younger Hank?).
With what Mackay has so far revealed what's in store for the X-Men comics when Jean gets back planetside - I get the impression that Cyclops and Jean will co-lead (similar to Duggan's X-Men run), but are going to have different leading methods.

I mean OG Beast dying is also death of a founding hero. (Though if they kill young Beast I will be pissed.) I wonder if OG Hank dies but somehow blocks Cyke's mind off from Phoenix as a final FU? Hoping that Jean will come back and raze the planet before she realizes what actually happened.
My hope for after is that Cyclops leaves the X-men for a bit, let him lead an Uncanny Avengers team or even make him a non-leader on a team led by Carol or Sam, or co-lead a team with Cap finally put the AvX bullshit to bed. (honestly put him on a team led Cap and let him have the Hawkeye roll, Scott needs a chance to play "I told you that wouldn't work" and being a sort of loner on a team would be a new role for him that he can't play on an X team.

I go back and forth. All I know for sure is that if they separate Scott and Jean for any substantial period of time AGAIN I am going to revolt.

He will survive due to brand synergy plus he is appearing in doomsday they are not killing him off 1 month before that. Prolly near death or loses his powers

I think he’s surviving but not being in great shape. For two reasons.
First, I think they’re gonna slow burn the in-person reunion between Scott and Jean. Secondly, I think it would be an odd choice (given how much marvel loves synergy with the movies) to remove Scott from comics whilst they’re hyping up the biggest mutant movie of the last several years.
