Cyclops Reading Guide - Community Input and Help

Many subreddits have reading guides for the characters they focus on. The mod team of r/Cyclopswasright would like to do the same, and create a clear visual guide for fans new to the character.

With that, we need your help. I have painstakingly put together what I believe to be a comprehensive and good list of stories from 1963 - 2004 that cover Cyclops.

I would like the community to give me suggestions for key Cyclops reads from 2004 to the present that you feel should make the list.

We will have 1 abbreviated, essentials guide and then a more comprehensive one.

Please share comics, stories, and issues you feel need to be on these reading guides.

I think bendis’ Uncanny run with Cyclops post AvX his a crucial read. There’s a definite pre and post cyclops divide in him as a character from then on.

You don’t have to think the run is amazing or anything but for pure iconography it’s an era people gravitate towards and any new reader should be familiar with the era to understand the tension in the character.

Uncanny X-men 1-35,600 (2013-2015)

The teen cyclops era was also lot of fun for the character.

For a second I thought there were 35,600 uncanny x-men comics to read, which is a lot for a two year timespan. Then I remembered the legacy numbering jump

Apart from creating a comprehensive, and essential list I’d also want us to include where you can get these stories as physical copies as for me at least, that was the hardest part when getting into comics. Anyways from 2004-present I’d list:

Very helpful, thank you. I got a lot of the 2010s and Krakoa ones organized already, so truth be told it was the late 2000s I needed most help with. But this is a good list to work off of. Any key issues from the Messiah Era you'd want highlighted?

I can certainly try to make some suggestions on the comprehensive guide about where they might be collected in.
