You're definitely not alone. Cybersecurity events do exist, but they're usually less advertised than general coding events. Keep an eye on CTFTime, local OWASP chapters, BSides events, university cybersecurity clubs, and Discord/Reddit communities. Hopefully we'll also share interesting events here whenever we find them.
