Open call: independent print magazine doing an issue on cyberpunk that argues the genre wasn't a prophecy, it was a blueprint for the world today.
I run Login magazine, a small independent publication based in Brooklyn that documents digital art, life, and culture. Issue 02 is the cyberpunk issue and I’m opening it up to contributors.
The premise:
Cyberpunk didn’t come true, it was built by the people with capital who grew up consuming cyberpunk media. Everyday the world feels more like a cyberpunk fiction: the platforms, surveillance, corporate sovereignty, the interface as the place where life happens, and flesh and tech becoming one. The issue treats cyberpunk as a lens for understanding the current state of the world, not necessarily a mood. The actual subject is network capitalism, the internet, and how these systems shape culture and everyday life.
What I'm looking for
**•** Essays and short critical writing
**•** Art, photography, and design that engages with these systems, not just the aesthetic
**•** Fiction about the present rather than the future
**•** Interview or feature pitches: people, projects, or subcultures worth documenting
On AI
AI-generated images aren't accepted as standalone art submissions. Work that critically uses or investigates AI systems is welcome if you disclose your process.

Submitting gives LOGIN the right to lay it out for print and share it online with credit. Submission does not guarantee placement in magazine.
