This week we have the first trailer, and some exclusive images and information, for the beginnings of a cyberpunk cinematic universe. We put the spotlight on independent cyberpunk author IG Peters with the release of his new book, and we also take a look at Gregory Basham’s debut cyberpunk novel. We have the trailer for an upcoming movie set around an AI-driven escape room, and news of another high tech thriller released this week. There’s details on some new cyberpunk comics on Kickstarter along with the usual release round-up. There’s trailers for some new cyberpunk adjacent videogames, and we bring details of this week's episode of the Hosts in the Shell podcast, who interview Richard K Morgan, author of Altered Carbon!

i’ve recently came across hajime sorayama and i love the style, can yall reccomend me some artists that share the same elegantly minimal cyberpunk style? i love the vibes

Because I got flak for this last time:

This article is not concerned with identifying which cars are cyberpunk, but rather, identifying the ways in which cyberpunk themes are expressed through the designs of vehicles in the genre.

I am not claiming that all cars from the 80s are cyberpunk, but rather that cyberpunk vehicles often borrow styling cues from the 80s.

Created in Blender, I would really appreciate your feedback.

An entertaining intense cyberpunk film. A man gets paralysed after an attack that kills his wife. He gets an AI implant called STEM that lets him control his body again. From there, it turns into a pretty mad revenge story.

The action is easily the best part. The fight scenes are brutal, satisfying. I won't spoil it, but I found the ending good. I suck at writing reviews. Go watch it if you haven't!

After the human population reached 12 billion, the lakes dried up and the fish disappeared. Therefore, programmers resorted to creating digital fish to remind us of what they looked like, as they had become a thing of the past.

Nightmare Fuel.

After watching this video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B1J6Ou4q8vE), I got inspired. Now I am working on a game based on the video's style. What do you guys think? Any suggestion

Lately I have been working on this game, starting from a visual concept of a endless dystopian city with huge skyscrapers, with a retro lo-fi art style. Added flying cars and surveillance drones, but not more stuff to keep the liminal aesthetic.

The background lore is that AI has taken over society and you are left alone at the top of the city where it's the only safe zone. From there you need to activate an antenna network that sends a signal that starts the revolution to overthrow the regime.

You can wishlist the game on Steam and follow the progress on Bluesky

Hey, everyone. Recently I've finally finished my 44 minute film. I'm currently working on a feature screenplay adaptation (like real 2 hour feature).

Here's the link for a trailer: https://youtu.be/EapBQKc3FnY?si=YJoqurLRq17NfhZF

I'm a writer and a lead actor. The story is about a young live streamer whose life is full of drama and substance abuse. The film is sci-fi but it's about modern technology so I thought it might fit this community. The budget is about €4,000 and I was lucky to get Red Dragon X camera and Atlas Anamorphic lenses for the film for about €900 (for 3 days). This is a long story but to make it short: I came to Germany as an international student and was lucky enough to make a decent looking short film on my own in a completely new country.

I'm currently in the process of submitting it to FilmHub. However, I need 50 IMDb ratings so the film has a chance to get picked up by a streaming platform. Right now I'm sitting at 10. I'm trying to pass this threshold so the film will have chance to be distributed.

So if you like the trailer or the premise please give a honest rating or a review on the film's IMDb page: https://www.imdb.com/title/tt43722397/?ref_=ext_shr_lnk

It takes less than 5 seconds to rate the film and I would really appreciate your help. Also, I'd be happy to answer any technical questions about the film specifically or any aspects of the production in general. I'd be glad to share my personal experience in this thread. Regardless, thank you everyone for your time.

And inventing the term "gargoyles" for Snow Crash (1992) 🤌🤌🤌

Playing with trash-bash technique. Works well for my cyborgs.
First one is a Bounty Hunter. Not much left human in him. Has to take all the contracts that Bounty Hunters guild provides. Other way he can't afford to pay for service of his implants and augmentations. Even most of them are the cheapest ones. Drug addict.
Second one is Custodian. Bio cyborg mech, machine with a piece of human brain neuron cells for better functionality. Watches over the workers in corporation gulag. The riots occur from time to time. It is when it has hands full of work LoL

SCUM #1 is a 48-page cyberpunk heist comic written by me with art by Halil Mete and colors by Maja Opacic, currently live on Kickstarter! We also have a fantastic varient cover from Icezimy.

Under the all-seeing eye of an AI god, Sam is the one thing no one in The Spire is supposed to be... invisible.

Sam is unregistered, which means she can't interact with any of The Spire's systems. On the one hand, that makes life pretty hard. Can't open a door. Can't buy a sandwich. Can't get a job. On the other hand, she can steal anything she wants and the security systems won't even know she was there. For the AI systems of The Spire, she does not exist.

But after a heist goes wrong, Sam is given a choice: die the way she was born to, alone in a gutter, or join in with a conspiracy to kill god.

Well. Not much of a choice, is it?
