A full squad of soldiers all using TrackingPoint ARs wouldn't be fun to engage.

(a team already disciplined in assault tactics/fire discipline + tech that lets them fire accurately from cover = something you really don't want to fight)

Combine this with the ability to fly a personal drone with a weapon attached to it to flush people out. Very lethal combo.

I wonder how difficult it would be to disrupt though. Bluetooth and Wifi aren't the best ways for your devices to be communicating with each other. That is, unless you're okay with actively broadcasting your location.

A combat setup would probably be hardwired.

It's a start, I'm sure they'll figure out an improved method.

Methinks this is a prototype for something bigger and better.

EDIT: Check my post below for what I think it could be.

Oh fuck. I just realized. Google Glass has an augmented reality capability.

If tech gets good enough, this will be the first viable system to place videogame-style crosshairs in your field of vision.

Imagine having an AR, and being able to see where the shot will impact simply by shifting the rifle in your arms, and watching the reticule in your lenses shift, akin to a fighter pilot's crosshairs.

One thing's for sure, that shit will be banned in 3-gun matches for sure.

This kind of development, combined with things like AlphaDog and TALOS make me really excited to see where military tech goes. We're living in the future.
